As part of LISW this is a joint LSLC/LMAA event on arbitration practice for shipping industry executives working in-house, insurers, claims handlers, solicitors and barristers.
Leading arbitrators and practitioners will share insights into what works, and what does not, in London arbitration today.
The following issues will be discussed:
– clauses requiring mediation before arbitration – what is required before getting on with arbitration;
– some do’s and don’ts of arbitration practice
– post award remedies, the slip rule, request for clarification, appeal etc.
This will be followed by an informal networking reception.
