As part of LISW this is a joint LSLC/LMAA event on arbitration practice for shipping industry executives working in-house, insurers, claims handlers, solicitors and barristers.
Leading arbitrators and practitioners will share insights into what works, and what does not, in London arbitration today.
The following issues will be discussed:
- clauses requiring mediation before arbitration – what is required before getting on with arbitration;
- some do’s and don’ts of arbitration practice
- post award remedies, the slip rule, request for clarification, appeal etc.
This will be followed by an informal networking reception.
For those interested in recording their professional training, the event is accredited for 2 CPD points.
